On March 21, a panel discussion from Brussels Forum 2009 examined the 20 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Panelists included Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, Senator George Voinovich (R-OH), and Latvian President Valdis Zatlers, and the discussion was moderated by the Washington Post's Anne Applebaum. Brussels Forum is an annual high-level meeting of the most influential North American and European political, corporate, and intellectual leaders to address pressing challenges currently facing both sides of the Atlantic.
