2005 Marshall Forum on Transatlantic Affairs April 07, 2005 / Elmau, Germany
The German Marshall Fund held the 2005 Marshall Forum on Transatlantic Affairs, entitled "The Global Reach of the Transatlantic Partnership" April 7–10 at Schloss Elmau in Elmau, Germany. One of GMF's signature events, the three-day Marshall Forum was developed to create an opportunity for the alumni networks of GMF fellowship programs — most prominently the Marshall Memorial Fellowship — as well as past recipients of GMF grants, past study tour fellows, and GMF Transatlantic Fellows to remain engaged in the transatlantic dialogue and to situate the transatlantic relationship in a global context. The Marshall Forum is a venue where stimulating ideas about the transatlantic relationship are discussed by prominent American and European speakers and participants, and where strong bonds among people are formed in an atmosphere of formal and informal debate. Participants in the Marshall Forum come from more than 15 countries and represent the political, business, media, think tank, and non-governmental organization communities.
This event is by invitation only. A preliminary agenda is available for download (PDF — 130KB).
