Asmus awarded l’Ordre de la Couronne by Belgium May 04, 2010 / Brussels, Belgium



HRH Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium & Dr. Ron Asmus. On May 4, Ronald D. Asmus, GMF executive director, Transatlantic Center and strategic planning, was decorated as a Commandeur of the l'Ordre de la Couronne. The decoration was bestowed by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium at Laeken Royal Castle. Dr. Asmus received this award for his contribution to U.S.-Belgian relations, the transatlantic dialogue and the key role he played in the creation and development of Brussels Forum. L'Ordre de la Couronne was established in 1897 and is awarded by royal decree for meritorious public service to the Belgian state, and distinguished artistic, literary, and scientific achievements.
