Dr. Myrtha Casanova Prompts Insightful Discussion on Diversity
Myrtha-Casanova_03[3]

Dr. Myrtha Casanova, President of the European Institute for Managing Diversity, delivered the keynote address at the Marshall Memorial Fellowship Partners and Coordinators meeting in Madrid on Friday, November 30th.   Dr. Casanova built her career on working with companies to increase diversity, and on studying the economic and social benefits that diversity brings to organizations.   Diverse workforces drive creativity and collaboration, her talk argued—helping organizations to innovate and raise profit margins.  Women, people of color, and religious minorities now comprise the majority of populations across Europe, yet are still underrepresented at the management level of the private, public, and civil society sectors.  Casanova’s presentation proved timely, as the Marshall Memorial Fellowship team used the gathering in Madrid to continue its discussion about how to ensure the MMF network reflects the diversity of the populations of both the United States and Europe.
