GMF Migration Forum Launches New Website, Convenes in Toronto August 08, 2012

The Transatlantic Forum on Migration and Integration (TFMI) launched a new website to highlight the past four years of convening and provide information about the forum's current network of Fellows and activities. Photos, videos, and project summaries are all available online and Fellows can create an account to update their biographies and contact details.

The fifth TFMI meeting, titled  "Learning From Canada and Recapturing Five Years of TFMI: Best Practices in Immigration and Integration Management" will take place from August 8 - 12 in Toronto, Canada. Established in 2008, this annual conference organized by the German Marshall Fund and the Robert Bosch Stiftung has served as the basis for a sustainable network of young leaders in the field of migration and integration, with year-round spin-off projects - including study tours, regional meetings, and academic and professional exchanges - taking place all over the world.

This year's TFMI will convene future decision-makers on crucial immigration and integration issues from business, government, the media, academia and the nonprofit sector. Participating fellows come from both sides of the Atlantic, as well as from both sending and receiving countries, including Morocco, Turkey, Mexico, China, and India. Topics discussed at TFMI 2012 will include best practices in integration, citizenship, multiculturalism, and national identity. Participants will also attend site visits in the area around Toronto.
