GMF President awarded Order of the Polar Star by Sweden April 30, 2010 / Washington, DC



On April 30, Swedish Ambassador to the United States Jonas Hafström and his wife Eva Hafström hosted a reception for the presentation of the Swedish order of chivalry, Insignia of Commander, Order of the Polar Star to GMF President Craig Kennedy. The honor was presented by Ambassador Hafstrom and Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt. The Ambassador and Minister thanked Mr. Kennedy for his contributions to furthering U.S.-Swedish relations, as well as his contributions to building a stronger and more productive transatlantic dialogue. The Order of the Polar Star was created in 1798 and is now awarded to foreigners and members of the Swedish royal family for services to Sweden.
