Fox Business interviewed Jurgen Matthes, head of the International Economic Order department at the Cologne Institute for Economic Research, about his views on the U.S. debate concerning the eurozone. According to Matthes, the debate is full of misunderstandings, questionable claims, and clichés, leading to overly skeptical conclusions. Matthes argues that trade balances in the southern eurozone countries have improved considerably, more so than is often conveyed in the public discourse.
