Michael Froman discusses the state of the transatlantic relationship and role of the TEC October 16, 2009 / Washington, DC
On October 16, the German Marshall Fund was pleased to host a conversation with Michael Froman, Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Assistant to the President, focusing on the state of the transatlantic relationship, as well as the upcoming Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) meeting, which is scheduled to take place on October 27.In light of the recent G20 summit meetings in Pittsburgh, Mr. Froman addressed topics related to the institutional reform of international organizations, transatlantic cooperation in addressing climate change, and the utility of the TEC as a transatlantic platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration in over 40 public policy areas.
