MMF Alumni Dinner and Discussion in California
MMF Alumni Dinner And Discussion In California

GMF took great pleasure in hosting an alumni dinner in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. GMF President Craig Kennedy, Senior Director for Foreign and Security Policy Ian Lesser, and Transatlantic Leadership Initiatives Director Kevin Cottrell (MMF ’08) traveled to California to speak with MMF alumni and learn of the issues and activities they are working to advance on the west coast.  With nearly 80 MMF alumni in California, GMF is committed to deepening its presence and expanding its agenda in this crucial region. Listening to the MMF alumni sharing their experiences about MMF and how it influenced their career served as a reminder for all present of the mission to which what the Marshall Memorial Program stands as a testament: connecting and encouraging emerging leaders to foster transatlantic relations.

At the dinner, thirty MMF alumni listened to a presentation from Craig Kennedy about GMF’s transatlantic policy work and discussed events currently shaping the California agenda.  Alumni also received a brief on the launch of a new MMF alumni engagement strategy designed to meet fellows’ ongoing leadership needs. Along with an increased number of networking opportunities, the new Transatlantic Leadership Seminar, and a refresh of annual convenings such as Marshall Forum, GMF has begun an individual membership program designed to help alumni remain connected to each other and to GMF.  For more information about the alumni membership campaign, click here.
