The impact of the Arab spring has had concrete consequences for the European integration process. After the French-Italian summit in Rome on April 26th, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asked the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission to reform the 1995 Schengen agreement. In a debate with France 24, Francois Lafond explores whether the ever increasing wave of migration from Tunisia and Libya may now put at risk one of the central pillars of European integration.
