Stockholm China Forum 8 January 23, 2011 / Stockholm, Sweden
The Eighth Stockholm China Forum was held on the 23rd and 24th of January, 2011, with the support of the Riksbankens Juibeleumsfond and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The agenda included discussions about the state visit of President Hu Jintao to the United States, security competition in East Asia, shared strategic interests in Central Asia and cooperation on global economic issues. We were also delighted to have Fu Ying, Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, attend the forum and give her perceptions on where China’s relationship with the West is headed.
The Forum brings together policymakers, intellectuals, journalists, and businesspeople from Europe, the United States, and Asia, for an ongoing and systematic dialogue to assess the impact of China's rise and its implications for European and U.S. foreign, economic, and security policy.
