The Future of Poland in Europe with Jonathan Paris November 16, 2012 / Warsaw, Poland

On Nov. 6, 2012 GMF's Warsaw Office organized a small off-the-record roundtable with London-based political analyst Jonathan Paris. The discussion focused on Poland's future within Europe. Issues raised during the session included the future of Polish political, economic, and foreign relations as well as Poland's changing industry and demography. Participants raised a number of questions regarding Poland's economic future, how to adapt the adopt welfare state structures prevalent in western Europe, and how to transition from an industrial economy with high labor costs to new entrepreneurial sectors. Participants also discussed what Polands political future will look like and who its role in alliances.
This event had drawn several higher level experts who have had debated over verity of topics related to Poland and its future long after the discussion was finally concluded. Therefore, the session was a great success.
