U.S. Defense Sec. Gates headlines inaugural Halifax International Security Forum

The German Marshall Fund of the United Sates (GMF) with the support of the Government of Canada, will host the inaugural Halifax International Security Forum, a first-of-its-kind international security conference in North America, attracting the foremost security policymakers, opinion leaders, and analysts from North America, Europe, and Asia for serious, in-depth intellectual exchange on security and defense challenges.
The conference will take place in Halifax, Canada, from Friday, November 20, to Sunday, November 22. Confirmed speakers include:
