U.S. Must Maintain Trust with Afghans

The accidental burning of Qurans by seemingly unwitting NATO forces and the resulting violence have proven to be one of the most disturbing chapters in a difficult struggle to bring peace to Afghanistan. Indeed, the imperative at this point is to rebuild the bonds of trust that have been shattered as a result of the attacks on NATO troops.
