Join: Transatlantic Leadership Seminar in France and Morocco
The dramatic rise of the Global South is creating game-changing opportunities for engagement and partnership. This is why we are delighted to invite you, as a member of the German Marshall Fund alumni community, to join the Transatlantic Leadership Seminar to France and Morocco from May 25 to June 1, 2014.
The Transatlantic Leadership Seminar is an annual, seven-day, expert-guided program for established leaders from the United States and Europe. It offers the practical insights, tools, and contacts needed to rise to the top in a highly globalized world. Each seminar transports participants to a dynamic region of the globe, where leaders are working to catalyze positive change. Participants benefit from expert briefings, high-level meetings, and thematic site visits, each designed to provide valuable takeaways for effective global leadership.
Following the successful launch in the Balkans last May, the Seminar will now examine the links between the Global North and Global South, and ways by which these connections can be utilized for enhanced security, development, and growth.
Leadership perspectives and contacts gained through this immersion will allow participants to integrate North-South relations into their portfolios. Professional and personal growth will be achieved by exploring new strategies for engagement across business, government, and nongovernmental sectors. Participants will return home better prepared for international partnerships and leadership in a multipolar environment.
In sessions held in Paris, Rabat, Tangier, and Casablanca, participants benefit from frank conversations with senior leaders and opinion makers. Themes will include: leveraging demographic change; leadership strategies informed by identity, gender, and faith; trans-Mediterranean and transatlantic relations; and structural frameworks for cooperation, including the Union for the Mediterranean. The Moroccan immersion will highlight maritime highways, global migration and capital flows, entrepreneurship, urbanization, and leadership of democratic and economic change. For further details, please refer to the thematic agenda below.
You are invited to join the Transatlantic Leadership Seminar on "Global North-South Cooperation: Tapping New Opportunities for Development and Growth" on a first-come, first-serve basis at the tuition rate of $3,999. Tuition includes lodging at 4 or 5 star hotels, meals, and transportation during the Semianr. Airfare to and from the Seminar are not included. An optional visit to Fez will be available for an additional $500 upon registration. To join the Seminar, please contact Filip Vojvodic Medic, our Program Officer for Transatlantic Leadership Initiatives, at email@example.com.
The German Marshall Fund looks forward to welcoming you next May to France and Morocco!
