Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Meet at Brussels Forum
Diverse and inclusive leadership remains at the top of the transatlantic agenda—proving essential to sound foreign, economic, and social policy. The Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network (TILN) convened in Brussels March 18-23 for the third consecutive year, bringing together 21 diverse young elected leaders from across Europe and the United States for immersive leadership training. Participants return home with fresh perspectives and tools to deepen debates in their own regions and professions.
The TILN cohort engaged European Parliamentarians and European Commission staff members on the topic of diversity and inclusion strategies, met with corporate diversity leaders, and made a grass roots visit on March 21, International Day Against Racism, to Ghent City Hall. In Ghent they were hosted by the Platform of African Organizations in Flanders. Facilitators David Johns, Jeff Johnson, Simon Woolley, and Laurie Glenn led peer learning sessions around such topics as personal mission, empowered networks, getting out your message, and smart campaigns.
