- Derek Chollet, Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor for Security and Defense Policy, The German Marshall Fund of the United States
As a part of the Future of American Power series, The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) invites you to a conversation with Thomas Wright on his newly published book All Measures Short of War: The Contest For the 21st Century and the Future of American Power (2017). In the book, Wright examines the reemergence of great power competition as the post-Soviet era of unprecedented cooperation unravels. To navigate resulting challenges and to strengthen the liberal order, Wright outlines a new American strategy of Responsible Competition. The discussion will be moderated by Derek Chollet.
GMF’s Future of American Power series discusses new books focusing on U.S. power in the world. In line with its mission to strengthen transatlantic relations, these conversations specifically focus on the implications of U.S. foreign policy for its European partners, as well as other key regions for the transatlantic relationship.
