German Marshall Fund dinner with Ms. Dana Hyde, CEO, Millennium Challenge Corporation
On Monday, April 27th, GMF hosted a dinner with Dana Hyde, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, in Chicago, Illinois. Ivan Vejvoda, GMF's Senior VP for Programs, served as moderator.
Participants in the discussion included prominent Marshall Memorial Fellows from the Chicago area, as well as heads of area non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Hyde presented an illuminating overview of the strengths of the MCC's work to improve the economies of the world's poorest countries and Vejvoda drew many parallels with the work of GMF's Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, a trust operating out of Bucharest, Romania that grants to regional civil society projects in and around the Black Sea.
This dinner was part of an organization-wide effort to convene GMF networks outside of the Washington Beltway.
