After the 2018 NATO Summit: Assessing Transatlantic Deterrence
After the 2018 NATO Summit: Assessing Transatlantic Deterrence is the second edition of the Transatlantic Security Task Force, a GMF project which brings together a group of around 35 high-level American and European security experts, strategic thinkers, policymakers, and representatives from the defense industry on a tri-annual basis, to develop concrete and focused policy recommendations on transatlantic security issues. TSTF 2 will, across two sessions and a working lunch, assess the Alliance’s unity and credibility in the face of current transatlantic tensions, take stock of capabilities and security commitments in the Alliance, and examine the current U.S. administration’s priorities in regards to Russia. The event has been made possible in partnership with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the generous support of Airbus.
The seminar will begin with a dinner on the evening of Wednesday September 26 hosted by Her Excellency Mrs. Claude-France Arnould, French Ambassador to Belgium and Her Excellency Mrs. Hélène Duchêne, French Permanent Representative to NATO at the Residence of the Ambassador of France in Belgium. Thursday September 27 will feature two morning sessions as well as a working lunch.
