Good Governance Program Area

The Good Governance program supports initiatives that maintain the momentum of reform in the three levels of government to increase transparency, accountability, and efficiency at both the local and national level.

Projects in this program focus on advocacy, judicial strengthening, organized crime, anti-corruption, money laundering, and civic participation.

Fair and equal treatment of citizens by their government is a fundamental requirement for a successful democratic society. In order for Bulgaria to advance its economic and democratic reforms, its citizens and businesses must be able to count on governmental systems that respond to their needs and protect their rights effectively and transparently.
