GMF recognizes that in order to be successful, the Halifax International Security Forum must involve strong partnerships with members of the global business and leadership communities. These partnerships not only highlight GMF’s strengths and expertise in developing and producing major events, but allow the organization to leverage the resources and networks of its partners to build an event with a strong, relevant agenda, high visibility, and top participants and speakers.
GMF works with a small group of elite partners from the transatlantic community who can contribute both leadership and ideas to its conferences, including the Halifax International Security Forum. GMF’s intention is to develop collaborative partnerships that are mutually beneficial and address issues that are important to both the policy and business communities; moreover, GMF will work closely with its partner organizations as decisions are made about the event’s format and agenda.
If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of partnership for the Halifax International Security Forum, please contact Nicole Surber, Director of Partnerships at nsurber@gmfus.org.
The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is delighted to welcome as key partners to this initiative the Government of Canada along with the Department of National Defence and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. We are grateful for all of their help in planning the inaugural Halifax International Security Forum. GMF is also grateful for the support of Irving Shipbuilding.
