On June 22, 2016, Belgrade chapter of the German Marshall Fund’s Young Transatlantic Network hosted Brigadier General Giselle M. Wilz, Commander and Senior Military Representative of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Candid and dynamic conversation with General Wilz focused on women in leadership.
General Giselle Wilz offered very interesting and comprehensive views in a wide-range discussion on current issues around women in leadership including changing roles of women in politics, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing women in positions of authority, with reflection on her own experience which she shared with the attendees. Her broad experience and competence on the topic is additionally underlined with a long record-track within the Army National Guard, and latest with the roll of adviser of the local authorities on military aspects of security sector reform and commanding NATO forces operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This conversation was moderated by Snezana Vukovic, BTD Program Officer, with an introduction by BTD Program Coordinator, Aleksandra Obradovic. The event was attended by representatives from think tank, academic and business sectors.
