Paul Costello is a program manager for the GMF Cities program, based in the organization’s Berlin office. He is leading the program’s European city engagement and support activities in both the Sustainable and Livable Cities and Innovative and Inclusive Cities programming. Specifically, Costello is responsible for: tracking urban and regional policy developments at multiple levels of government; leading engagement and outreach to key European network cities and individuals; supporting the development the program’s key peer to peer learning activities, including METROS, Dialogues for Change, and BUILD; and supporting European GMF Cities activity logistics.
Costello has a background in public policy and prior work experience in sustainability and public diplomacy programs. He is a graduate of the Master of Public Policy program at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and has a bachelor of arts from McGill University in Montreal.
