Philipp Liesenhoff is a Research Assistant in GMF’s Europe Program in Berlin, where he works on different aspects of EU governance, economic policy, and financial markets. He has previously gained work experience at the Hanns-Seidel Foundation in Washington, DC, the German Federal Ministry of Finance, the Federation of German Industry, as well as the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Liesenhoff holds a master’s degree in Governance and International Economics from the University of Bayreuth and is currently working on his Ph.D. thesis on institutional components of a European financial area. He is a native German and speaks English fluently. Liesenhoff has working proficiency in French.
