Timo Lochocki is a transatlantic fellow, based in Berlin and Paris, and an expert on European party politics. His award-winning research focuses on the interplay between international policy challenges – e.g. Eurozone and immigration matters – and domestic party politics. Timo Lochocki is a lecturer on European politics at Humboldt University Berlin and Bard College Berlin. He regularly comments on German and European party politics for The Economist, POLITICO Europe, The New York Times, The London Times and DIE ZEIT. He studied social psychology and international politics in Germany, Norway, and the United States and holds a PhD in comparative politics from Humboldt University Berlin. Timo Lochocki’s doctoral thesis explains varying electoral advances of right-wing populist parties in Europe and was graded as summa cum laude.
