Congress-Bundestag Forum

The Congress Bundestag Forum is a project in partnership with the Robert Bosch Stiftung that brings together young newly elected Members of the German Bundestag with their counterparts in the United States House of Representatives. The purpose of the forum is to increase dialog among the elected officials of these important countries and to foster strong relations with colleagues.  The Forum is held annually in the United States or in Germany and Members participate in roundtable discussions on policy issues of mutual concern. Topics range from discussions on NATO’s strategic concept to ideas on how to improve foreign investment. The roundtable discussions are led by experts in the field and the sessions are meant to encourage informal and open dialog.  Many participants return each year to reunite with their colleagues on the other side of the Atlantic.

The 7th annual Congress Bundestag Forum will be held in Dayton, Ohio and Washington, DC in July 2010.  For more information, please contact Maia Comeau, the Director of Congressional Relations at mcomeau@gmfus.org.
