In this podcast, Kelly Brough, CEO of the Denver Chamber of Commerce, relates her experience in promoting social impact bonds in Colorado with David Carter, Head of Planning Strategy for the City of Birmingham, UK. Kelly’s efforts stem from a 2012 visit to Birmingham as part of her involvement in the Transatlantic Cities Network of the German Marshall Fund, where local policymakers are using social impact bonds as a tool to save money and tackle local problems, such as poverty and gaps in childhood education.
