MMF Selection Now Underway – MMF Nominations Now Accepted Year Round

October 19, 2016

Melanie Whittaker

Head of Membership & Development, Leadership Programs

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) again received a record high number of nominations this year for the Marshall Memorial Fellowship.  The Marshall Memorial Fellowship could not continue to select the highest caliber leaders from across the U.S. and Europe without the deep engagement of alumni who nominate.  We thank all nominators for their commitment to the transatlantic relationship.

Over 200 volunteer readers and selection committee members—many of them MMF alumni—will soon score applications and interview candidates across 22 selection regions.  The next cohort of MMF Fellows will be announced in Spring 2017, and will then travel in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.

Beginning in November 2016, MMF nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.  Have a compelling candidate who would benefit from immersive leadership development on the other side of the Atlantic?  Don’t wait for GMF to announce the Fellowship—nominate a future transatlantic leader now!
