Deutschlandfunk Kultur: 100 Days of Joe Biden in the White House
Committed climate policy, billions for infrastructure, extensive social spending, a rejection of racism, and a predictable foreign policy—Joe Biden's agenda is clearly different from that of his predecessor. The question is: What can he implement? GMF Vice President Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff sat down with Deutschlandfunk Kultur, along with other guests, to discuss Joe Biden’s first 100 days as U.S. president.
Kleine-Brockhoff noted that “We no longer have to expect ‘the end of the world’ every hour. However, Joe Biden will also have to ‘make concessions’ in his political plans.” In his view, the Democrats know that they will have to push through a lot of their agenda in the next two years. Regarding the policy, Kleine-Brockhoff observed that “We see unifying rhetoric, but a ‘left turn’ in actual policy.”
