Has the U.S. become war-weary?

On June 18th, Alexandra de Hoop Scheffer participated in radio France Culture’s broadcast « Du Grain à Moudre », to discuss the following question : “Has the U.S. become war-weary?”. The topics that were debated included the situation in Syria and U.S policy; Americans’ war weariness in the post-Iraq and –Afghanistan context; the U.S. redefinition of burden-sharing with their European allies, the lessons we can learn from the operations in Libya and Mali, and what it means for transatlantic relations; the use of drones and Obama’s approach of the war against Al-Qaida.
