Mark Jacobson talked about the role of NATO in Ukraine following Crimea’s vote to join Russia. He discussed the history and organization of NATO, how the organization shifted its focus after the end of the Cold War, its history with Ukraine, and the types of support NATO can offer to Ukraine.
Mark R. Jacobson is a Senior Transatlantic Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. From 2009 to 2011 he served with NATO’s International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.
