German Marshall Fund of the United States Announces Launch of New India Initiative
Washington, DC – At a time when the Europe-India relationship is experiencing unprecedented momentum and new avenues of cooperation are opening up, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is launching a new India Initiative focused on building European capacities and expertise on India and exploring US-Europe-India cooperation across issue areas.
Under the leadership of Dr. Garima Mohan, this new India Initiative is rooted in GMF’s more than a decade of experience in India-focused work. With senior experts who track Europe-India and US-India ties, signature closed-door formats, in-depth analyses, policy memos tailored for governments and corporations, and a bimonthly newsletter following key developments in these relationships, GMF’s India Initiative is uniquely positioned to analyze, explain, and shape Europe-India cooperation across a host of policy areas.
“We are extremely proud of GMF’s history of expertise in India-related research and convening,” said GMF President Dr. Alexandra de Hoop Scheffer. “The launch of this new India Initiative is an exciting next step forward in our longstanding work to build areas of cooperation in trade, investment, technology, security, and defense in the Europe-India relationship and identify additional areas for trilateral collaboration with the United States.”
