India Trilateral Forum: 11th Edition

The eleventh edition of the India Trilateral Forum took place in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 8-9, 2016. The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs convened the forum with additional support provided by Foundation Asset Management AB and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). Participants in the forum this year included government officials, journalists, scholars, and businesspeople from the United States, India, and Europe.  

Discussions, which were held under the Chatham House Rule, focused on India as a growing global and economic actor. Additional sessions were held on India’s growth and reform agenda, unlocking India’s human capital, examining populism, democratic governance and its discontents, the future of India-China relations & implications for the west, governing cyberspace & enforcing cyber-security and the new geo-economics & the future of the global trading order.
