Open European Dialogue

There is new momentum behind the sustainable development agenda. The UN agreement on the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’" set 17 clear goals and 169 targets for action. The COP21 Paris Climate Change Conference brings new commitments and impetus. Our Mercator European Dialogue on Sustainable Development offers a unique opportunity for national parliamentarians to discuss together the best ways to make renewed progress on this vital issue.

We will hear from experts about the very latest developments and the implications for policy makers. We will share information on strategies and approaches being adopted at a national level. We will consider plans to place these within a positive European framework. We will also consider how to strengthen political drive on this vital issue.

More information on the Mercator European Dialogue.
