Hacks, leaks and fake news are increasingly taking the place of planes, bombs, and missiles. The aggressive use of social media by Daesh to lure people into terrorism, or the role of Russia to spread dubious information and cast confusion in our transatlantic societies are just a taste of more to come. The question we now face is how do we protect both sides of the Atlantic against hostile cyber power? Which cyber threats deserve our immediate attention? Who are our digital adversaries? Do we have the policies and technological tools in place at the national, EU, or NATO levels to be cyber resilient?
