Transatlantic Perspectives on Foreign Assistance in Eastern Europe
On October 19, 2017, the Bucharest Office of The German Marshall Fund of United States (GMF) will organize a discussion on Foreign Assistance in Eastern Europe. The event will bring together practitioners, beneficiaries, government officials, and independent donors from the Black Sea Region, to discuss the needs of the region, its many challenges and complicated dynamics, and the evolving transatlantic environment. The event will focus on a comprehensive analysis of foreign assistance trends and evolutions. The debate will host Ms. Margot Ellis, acting assistant administrator of USAID and Ms. Karren Hillard, head of mission of USAID Moldova, ambassadors from the region, and Romanian officials, together with grantees from beneficiary countries.
