The death of George Floyd while in police custody has precipitated protests and unrest all over the United States. His case is one among many, and has unleashed pent up frustration within the African American community. It has also thrust the topic of institutional racism into America's national consciousness five months prior to the presidential election. At this Transatlantic Tuesday, we will focus on race relations in the United States and the impact on the presidential election.
