Young Professionals Summit Convenes at Brussels Forum
GMF held the sixth annual Young Professionals Summit (YPS) March 20-21, 2015 in Brussels. The Summit aims to foster dialogue between generations and building new connections across sectors and nations. Participants first engaged in a tailor-made program, and then joined the larger Brussels Forum on Saturday night and Sunday. This year’s Summit brought together 65 rising leaders representing 30 different countries and a wide range of professional backgrounds.
The Young Professionals Summit addresses pressing policy challenges for the transatlantic community. Session themes this year included the emerging global trade order; entrepreneurship and innovation; and sanctions and security. You can check out the full agenda here.
Highlights this year included the first YPS-only Night Owl session, and new workshop sessions designed to impart leadership lessons of particular relevance to this stage in the participants’ careers. During Brussels Forum, the rising leaders brought their insights into to a number of diverse conversations, driving the dialogue particularly during the dynamic "Mystery Session" moderated by Nik Gowing.
The Young Professionals Summit was organized in cooperation with partners as the European Investment Bank and the U.S. Mission to the EU.
