Brussels Forum Virtual Convening
This June, the German Marshall Fund of the United States will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Brussels Forum, its signature conference. Due to the ongoing global health crisis surrounding the outbreak of the coronavirus, GMF has decided to not convene Brussels Forum in person in 2020. But while Brussels Forum will not convene in person, GMF believes that its mission and that of its important policy event are more relevant and imperative than ever. As we see national approaches mark the response to this pandemic, there is an ever-growing need for increased transatlantic cooperation and solidarity.
It is against this background that GMF will convene a series of virtual sessions throughout June to foster conversations on the most pressing transatlantic policy challenges. Discussions will address the state of the transatlantic relationship and implications of the coronavirus crisis on security and defense policies, digital policies, climate discussions, and our economies and societies as a whole.
