Isotta Ricci Bitti is a program coordinator and deputy head of the Open European Dialogue at GMF. Isotta has extensive expertise in designing and facilitating political dialogues, policy workshops, and fact-finding missions. Thanks to her research background in European affairs and to her knowledge of participatory design, she supports policymakers who want to confront complex policy issues with dialogue tools and processes. The members of the Open European Dialogue meet regularly to participate in multilateral and thematic activities on key political challenges such as economic governance, migration, and future of the EU.
Before joining GMF, she worked for four years as a research analyst at the European Stability Initiative (ESI) in Berlin, focusing on the development of migration and asylum policies across the EU and Turkey and the implementation of human rights monitoring mechanisms in the countries of the Council of Europe. She holds a master’s degree in interdisciplinary research and studies on Eastern Europe (MIREES) and a bachelor's degree in international and diplomatic relations both obtained from the University of Bologna. She completed part of her studies at the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in Paris and at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Sarajevo.
