
Kristel Ba
Kristel Ba is program manager for Leadership Programs at the German Marshall Fund of the United States where she manages the D&I portfolio in Europe and the United States. Through the Paris Inclusive Leadership Hub, she manages inclusive leadership programs such as the Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network (TILN), the Inclusive Leadership Summits, the Inclusive Strategist Series, and Mission Critical, an inclusive leadership conference for the security sector.
Ba joined GMF in 2012 as outreach coordinator for the Paris Office, coordinating the public relations and development initiatives providing outreach to partners to develop and reinforce GMF’s connections and network in France. In 2015, she joined the Leadership Programs team where she developed and implemented leadership programs across markets in Europe, including the Marshall Memorial Fellowship (MMF).
Since 2014, Ba has been coordinating the Marshall Memorial Fellowship in Paris, Brussels, and Marseille.
In 2020, Ba joined GMF’s Diversity and Inclusion committee as chair for the demographics sub-committee and, co-chair for the trainings sub-committee to help increase the organizational competency in D&I.
Ba is a graduate of Sciences Po Bordeaux and holds a master’s degree in arts in public and political communication. Ba studied marketing, international management, and organizational behavior at Laval University (Québec, Canada), and international business at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley (CA, USA). She is fluent in French and English and proficient in German and Bulgarian.
