Massimo Hagemeier is a program assistant in the Europe Program, based in GMF’s Berlin office. He also serves as the research assistant to Vice President Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff, where he supports his work as Vice President and Director of the Berlin office. His research interests include European and American foreign policy, as well as security and defense policy, with a special focus on new technologies.
He gained first work experience as an intern for the Siemens EU Government Affairs Office in Brussels, the German Marshall Fund of the United States in Washington D.C., and Amnesty International. Massimo holds a master’s degree in international relations from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Hamburg with study visits at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and at the University of Oslo.
