Energy Security
GMF advances transatlantic leadership on achieving a secure, sustainable, and affordable energy future. GMF’s energy programming supports transatlantic cooperation on finding solutions for U.S. and EU energy policy challenges and encourages international energy and climate cooperation more broadly. Through transatlantic dialogues, written analysis, and study tours, GMF engages policymakers, business leaders, academics, and members of the NGO community from both sides of the Atlantic to inform the debate with objective data and the best examples of successful policies that could be shared across the Atlantic or more widely. It contributes to broadening of the debate away from a narrow focus on energy and environmental policy to something that includes foreign, economic, and social policy facets and stakeholders.
