Speaking at GMF’s Japanese Trilateral Forum, Yuichi Hosoya, a senior fellow at The Tokyo Foundation, explains the importance of trilateral cooperation between Japan, Europe and the United States, as well as what he thinks are the best avenues through which to strengthen transatlantic cooperation. In particular, Hosoya highlights international institutions such as the U.N. for the valuable frameworks they provide, and stresses the importance of bi-lateral cooperation among the three parties involved. Hosoya also weighs in on recent prospective trade deals and how he thinks new international trade rules will shape the trilateral alliance and the international community in general.
