About this event

February 24, 2024 marks two years since Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, a conflict that continues to devastate civilian populations and vital infrastructure nationwide. The battlefield also extends into cyberspace, and Russian cyberattacks on Ukraine’s digital infrastructure have put the country on the front line of cybersecurity. To win the war, Ukraine must have the tools and expertise to ensure cyber resilience.

On Thursday, February 15, GMF will host a conversation with Ambassador Nathaniel C. Fick and CISA Director Jen Easterly to discuss global efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s capacity to detect and defend itself from Russian cyberattacks. They will also examine the role of cybersecurity for Ukraine’s long-term stability and relevant lessons learned for the rest of the world. Incoming Chair of GMF’s Board of Trustees, Christopher Schroeder will offer opening remarks. Margaret Brennan, moderator of CBS's Face the Nation, will facilitate the discussion.

This event will be held in person and virtually. Please note that those wishing to attend in person should register as soon as possible since space is limited. All those wishing to attend should click on the appropriate button above.
