About this event

For more than a decade, senior European, U.S., and Chinese representatives from government, media, business, and academia have gathered at this Forum on a biannual basis to actively engage on a wide spectrum of foreign policy, security, and economic issues at the Stockholm China Forum.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 23rd Stockholm China Forum took place virtually during November 17-20, 2020. The Forum was organized by The German Marshall Fund and Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The group included long-time stakeholders as well as new voices.

The discussions addressed the future of U.S.-Europe-China relations in light of the many challenges that have been brought to the forefront in 2020. Panelists and participants also discussed security issues in the Indo-Pacific region and the role of legislatures in shaping policy on and with China.
