Regional Programs

Regional Program seeks to encourage civic entities to develop projects that promote cooperation and stability within the Black Sea region; or establish linkages between groups from Central and Eastern Europe with their Black Sea counterparts to share expertise, experience, and information that are essential in promoting the political, social, and economic development necessary for long-term stability in the region; or enable the transatlantic policy and media communities to have a better understanding of the Black Sea region.

Regional Program projects can be initiated by civic entities from the Black Sea region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine) or Central and Eastern Europe (such as the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia).

The projects may focus on the following areas:

Facilitation and promotion of regional and transatlantic dialogues on shared challenges

  •  Sharing of expertise and resources available to the countries of the Black Sea region in areas related to good governance
  • Exchanges of best practices in key governmental policy areas
  • Building and strengthening social, cultural and economic networks

All inquiries and project proposals should be sent to [email protected]. BST accepts proposals on a rolling basis for this program.

Only project proposals using BST application forms (narrative and budget) will be taken into consideration. To download the forms, please go to the Application Forms section.

Some of the most successful projects awarded under the Regional Program can be found within the BST Portfolio section.
