Doug Ducey was elected Arizona's 23rd governor in 2014 and reelected in 2018. His administration enacted the nation's lowest flat income tax, introduced a first-in-the-nation requirement that students pass a civics test before graduating from high school, eliminated burdensome occupational licensing requirements, and removed or improved more than 3,365 regulations.

Ducey is perhaps best known for pioneering Education Scholarship Accounts and universal school choice in Arizona. His administration also successfully recruited Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to Arizona, catalyzing tens of billions of dollars in additional investment and strengthening the United States’ domestic semiconductor supply chain.

Under Governor Ducey's leadership, Arizona experienced historic economic growth while the size of state government declined. When he left office, Arizona employed approximately 5,000 fewer state workers than when he took office, while the private sector had added more than 500,000 jobs. During one of the nation's most contentious political moments, Ducey also fulfilled his constitutional duty by certifying Arizona's 2020 election results, reaffirming the rule of law and the integrity of the state's electoral process.

Elected by his peers, Ducey served multiple terms as chairman of the Republican Governors Association.

Prior to becoming governor of Arizona, Ducey served as CEO of Cold Stone Creamery. Before that, he worked in sales and marketing at Procter & Gamble. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University.
