Dr. Cvic Innocent is a visiting senior fellow with GMF Technology. She is the founder and general partner of Frankenbuild Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in frontier dual-use sustainable industrials. She sits on various boards, including those for the MA Green Energy Consumer Alliance, Vencapital, and Rooted Futures Lab. She also holds a seat on the Member Advisory Council of the New England Venture Capital Association.
Prior to founding Frankenbuild Ventures, Innocent’s career in finance included investing as an aerospace/aeronautics angel, being a venture partner in a firm focused on the secondaries market, and serving as the investment chair of fintech/finserv.
Innocent contributed to global policy and technical advisory work at the UN, COP30, and the World Economic Forum’s 2026 annual meeting in Davos. Earlier in her career, she worked for NASA (Goddard Space Flight Center and Goddard Institute for Space Studies) and held scientific leadership roles in private- and public-sector research facilities, including as research faculty at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital.
Innocent was educated at Oxford University, Cornell University, City College of New York, and Kingsborough Community College. She has been named 2025 Startup Supporter/Investor of the Year by ACT. She was a 2025 Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council rising star honoree, a 2022 SPIE Woman of Optics, and a 2019 Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative innovation fellow.
