About this event
Artificial intelligence and the supply chains that underpin it are now central to economic competitiveness and geopolitical influence. As the United States accelerates an economic security agenda focused on resilient AI infrastructure and allied coordination, this GMF-hosted discussion with US Under Secretary of State Jacob Helberg will focus on where decisive transatlantic alignment is now required. Drawing on Helberg’s leadership on AI supply-chain security and initiatives such as Pax Silica, the conversation will examine how Europe and the United States can prevent fragmentation, unlock investment, strengthen growth, and jointly shape global standards and partnerships at this moment of accelerating technological and geopolitical competition. As this year marks the 250th anniversary of American independence, the conversation also provides a moment to reflect on the principles that guide US policy toward innovation.
